U12’s BLIZZARDS U12 20-22 Bracknell Cobras
U14’s BLIZZARDS U14’s 26-36 Bracknell Cobras
U16’s BLIZZARDS U16’s 13-68 Yateley Silverbacks
Junior Blizzards were out Friday evening for their first games in over 18 months with each of the three teams having at most, only 2 or 3 players that had played club basketball before and having only had four trains sessions scheduled before their first games.
Both U12’s &U14’s came very close to winning with the U12’s getting turned over in the last two minutes (20-22) having lead by 2pts (18-16) going into the last quarter, and the U14’s after having closed to within 4pts at half time just losing out in the third quarter to finish 36-26 down against a more experienced side.
The U16’s faired well but struggle against a very well drilled Yateley side that had a massive height advantage as well as having trained throughout most of the Covid restrictions due to being run by the head of PE at his schools sports hall. Never the less there were some good Basketball played and the boys now have something to build.
