After an easy win away to Bracknell 2 in the first round. BLIZZARDS 2 got another good draw in the second round away to Yateley 3.
Halfway though the first quarter a quick 10-0 with Stuart Elliott on form put the game to bed.Yateley never recovered from the 10-24 deficit of the first quarter. The Young’s guns intensity on defence making the difference that often gave them an offencive advantage and they duly obliged, 11-44 at the half.
Ben Firrell getting his eye in with a couple of threes straight after the break never gave Yateley any respite as the BLIZZARDS piled on the points with all the squad getting on the score sheet, another strong quarter gave them a big lead 19-68. The last quarter saw too many free throws missed and less intensity on defence as they cruised to an easy win 36-87.
Through to the quarter finals the BLIZZARDS side are hoping for a bit more luck in the draw and possibly a home leg as well.
