Champions far too strong for BLIZZZARDS

4 Oct 2018 by Marcel Mavronicholas

First game of the season for a new look Blizzards side with a few new players in the line up.
South Bucks were in full swing from the tip with well drilled fast breaks often easily finished, whereas the Blizzards were struggling not only on defence to stop the speedy Comets but also on offence where they were all too often playing as individuals. The game was already sealed by the end of the first quarter, Bucks had amassed 35pts.
By half time the Blizzards were going to do well to near the Comets first half haul of 57pts. Bucks’s big men were very strong, fast breaks was often finding their super speedy No7 and with their point guard orchestrating the operations with precision .
The second half saw the Blizzards contain South Bucks slightly better specially when set on defence, but still no match for last year’s champions who cruised to an easy 99-50 win.

Team:
James Vousden 17pts, Aaron Taylorson 10pts, Chris Mullan 7pts, Matt Jones 6pts, Szymon Wawrzyniak 6pts, Marcus Leach 3pts, Laurance Wright 1pt, Torsten O’Brien, Gavin Frecklington, Andreas Antoniou.
