BLIZZARDS 33-68 South Bucks Comets

Eight Div1 players showed up, but yet again the team lacked height to host the Champions of the past four seasons themselves somewhat inconvenienced by injuries.
The BLIZZARDS were first off the blocks with a welcome three from Steve Tolloczko, back after a near 3 month lay off with achilleas problems. The locals moving the ball at speed were quickly in front 11-4 and 13-6 with just over a minutes to the first buzzer, but now struggling against a hard working zone a few turnovers proved costly 13 all at the end of the quarter. The Blizzards were finding it hard to penetrate the zone and struggled with their outside shoots and slowly but surely the Comets started to draw clear 19-29 at HT.
The third quarter was catastrophic and only Andrés Peraita found the hoop as last year’s Champions found yet another gear 2-27 in the third quarter, the game was all over. A better last quarter saw Gavin Frecklington hit his first shots and a fairer contest 12 all to see the side from Buckinghamshire win comfortably 33-68
