Hungerford Dogs 69-53 BLIZZARDS

BLIZZARDS 65-51 Windsor Warriors

Away to a much improved Hungerford that had qualified for the KT Cup final, the Blizzards with a reduced team sheet, nine players including two late arrivals and Stuart Elliott playing (very well) up from Div3. The Blizzards were slowly into their stride 10-0, started to find their stride by the end of the first quarter and s good start to the second saw them momentarily take the lead 24-25, but no sooner had they got in front that a 15-0 by Hungerford 39-25 finished them of. They never got back in the game and struggled late in the game no scoring for the last six minutes in a lack lustre last quarter that finished 4-4. Impressive second outing in Div1 for Stuart Elliott that finished off a great pass from Chris Mullan in tremendous style just before HT.
The game finished 69-53, a well earn win for the Dogs that were definitely hungrier than the Blizzards.
Team: Szymon Wawrzniak 22pts, Joe Wills 8pts, Chris Mullan 7pts, Andrés Peraita 7pts, Marcus Leach 3pts, Tom Mavronicholas 2pts, Harry Preston 2pts, Stuart Elliott 2pts, Andreas Antoniou.

Back at home against the bottom club, the BLIZZARDS were desperate for a win, but even less showed up than at last weeks away game, Harry Preston withdrew late with a knee problem, Max Bartholomew was at hand to help out for his first appearance in Div1, only seven players but all eager to get that win.
The Blizzards this week were quick of the mark 10-2 up in four minutes, and never looked back, with only seven players they were in foul trouble before the end of the third quarter with Joe Wills and Chris Mullan both on 4 fouls. But having made the difference before half time 39-22 they were able to enjoy the game and coast home with Szymon Wawrzniak top scoring with 20pts, Joe Wills 13pts, Gavin Frecklington 12pts, Chris Mullan 7pts , Max Bartholomew getting 6pts for his Div1 baptism, Marcus Leach hitting two smith threes, and Andreas Antoniou very strong on defence against, old National League playe,r Budge that usually bullies everyone
Well done boys, now looking for another win Monday at Woodley
