Yateley Silverbacks 2 76-43 BLIZZARDS B

After last weeks top performance, the young Blizzards side failed to make an impact on a strong Yateley side that had 4 players playing down from Div1.
The real problem was to be their height with 3 big strong players over 6foot 6. Oliver Tate has always going to struggle and the locals fully took advantage of that.
The match was settled very quickly as the Blizzards conceded a 19-0 after having scored the first basket, 20-7 down after the first quarter, and struggling to score until the second half, their high percentage shooting from last Thursday against the Cobras had not been seen. Max Bartholomew was the first to find his range hitting 3 successive shots, but Yateley’s powerful giants kept dominating the paint, 56-25 with a quarter remaining.
Our U17’s made a good show in the final quarter with Stuart Elliott and Stephen Murtagh helping Oliver Tate trying to secure rebounds, all three finding the score sheet and Stuart having a couple of good assists as well.
Ben Firrell also finally finding his range and hitting 7pts in the last two minutes. Final score 76-43
